This is a pretty little hanging planter, and I have yet to put plants in it. Since it doesn’t have drainage holes, I might just add small potted plants or I’ll add a lot of drainage and maybe plant succulents in it. The metal brackets didn’t fit in the slots and my husband had to file them down to fit.

I’m not sure what the other reviews that said it was flimsy we’re talking about. I ordered 4 of these to hang on our wrought iron railing. I drilled some holes in the bottom for draining w/just a regular drill bit. They’ve been up for several week and don’t see any signs of deterioration.

Overall these planters are decent for the price, though I'm not a fan of the included hanging brackets. I personally found that the brackets don't work well on porch railings due to the brackets being curved where they rest on the railing rather than lying flat. As for the planters themselves, so far I've been happy. I didn’t get the hooks. I think that may have been ebay’s fault so I didn’t take off any stars for the missing parts. They’re sitting on my porch railing now instead of hanging from it. They look nice but I would def prefer them with the hooks. There are no drain holes so I put pots inside of them. For galvanized tin, they did a good job of closing and sealing all the sharp edges. These look nice and seem pretty solid quality but I did find that the hooks are slightly different widths and this makes getting them into their slots to hang this a pain, I had to use a mallet to get one side of each bucket in place. I thought the first one was a fluke but one on each bucket was tricky. Overall I like these, not flimsy and seem well made overall so I think these are a solid 4 star planter option. These are attractive, but the design is flawed. If you are going to have a vertical planter, you need to be able to water it from the top. The only way to water it is to spray the hose directly at it. Not the best for many plants.

Got these to put my herbs in, bent the hooks to fit my 2 by 4's. Didn’t have holes! They seem quite stable and shouldn't move any.

A great planter. Looks beautiful and holds the perfect amount of flowers. Would have given 5 starts but leaves a rust stain on whatever its hanging on.
