Does its job efficiently.

This was the only product that could switch signals from multiple 1/4" TRS speaker plugs. Works quietly. Only downside was the paint on the metal case was a bit dull and it was brand new.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Outstanding tackle!

Works great for what I need it for. I have analog hardware to connect to and didn't have any inputs on my audio interface (motu audio express). This device is a great and inexpensive way to extend the life of your interface. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended use
Cons
  • Only available in black

Excellent passive and quiet input switch

Excellent passive and quiet input switch. I use it to switch between TV/PC audio from an optical DAC and a USB digital mixer for monitoring. This allows me to combine music production, gaming and TV setup with self-amplified studio monitors for all purposes without having to buy additional audio gear and speakers.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Crumpled

just what i need - Accessories and consumables

This audio switcher is just what I needed. I have this to connect my computer, audio interface and Roland V-Drums to the same monitors in my home studio and it works like a charm. No more crawling behind monitors to unplug/plug cables. The only thing I noticed on my device that doesn't really matter is that the white line showing which input you've selected doesn't quite line up with the white lines on the volume slider itself. As I mentioned before, it doesn't really matter, because of the…

Reliable, deep and secure switch click, good flexibility

First, the outer casing of this device could knock out an attacker if necessary. The device feels solid unlike some plastic alternatives, and the 3 on/off switch position notches are deep with a nice positive click. Some people have mentioned that theirs come with an incompatible or detached switch knob. Mine arrived safely and looks just like the product photo. I'm not a #1 Hosa fan - I sold audio cables while working for a studio integration company and Hosa was our budget (for sacrificing…

Satisfies a Need: Audio and Video Accessories

Hosa Audio Selector works as intended. The case is well built, but soon after unboxing the unit I had to do field repairs, which disappointed me. The switch selector adjustment screw that holds the knob to the switch shaft was overtightened at some point during design, resulting in the knob being turned on the shaft disabling the device. I had to fix it. Also, TPS receptacles that accept 1/4" TPS males are constantly coming loose on the housing. I haven't done a full analysis, but I suspect the

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Not Everything Fits

Should be sold as a reference monitor selector. Although the packaging says you can switch between 3 different audio sources on 1 output it is a totally passive device, I have used it in reverse for the past 5 years. You can connect 1 Line to its output jack and then connect its input jacks to different sets of active reference monitors or anything with a line. The box all have 1/4" TRS jacks. I connected line outputs from my audio interface to an output (yes, output .back) and then to each of…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poor guidance

The sole purpose of this device is simply to accept 2 mono line inputs (1 stereo input) and output 6 mono line outputs (3 stereo outputs). Due to the passive nature of this device (no power supply required) there will be a loss in signal strength (ie you will need to amplify the signal entering the device as the device outputs the signal at a lower dB level). This isn't a problem for me as my audio interface can put out a pretty loud signal when my studio monitors are already turned off. The…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
