Working but limited

If you want to share the output, that's fine. Don't read any further because you will love it. If you want this to combine two mics, you're in for a bad time. This cable (or a similar cable) will not work with TRRS - the combo input/output connector on all phones and most laptops. The TRRS specification only supports a monaural microphone. So make sure the device you want to connect it to supports a stereo microphone. And that's not because of this device. It works as it should.

This works well for its intended purpose ie it allows you to connect 2 microphones to my camera's microphone jack. Perfect when I want to interview someone on camera but also want to be heard. It records a mic on the left channel and another mic on the right channel and I can split each track into 2 mono tracks that are adjusted independently in post. Works well! It doesn't sound professional when you're interviewing someone and you can't be heard behind the camera, so money well spent!

Good but two flaws

I use a splitter to get a true L/R stereo signal (from my phone) and send it to a pair of KEF Muo. Like many others, my phone has a case. Unfortunately, the 3.5mm plug adapter is not compatible with a regular phone case. In today's phone-centric world, I don't know how the designer didn't recognize this and use a compatible plug adapter. . Luckily I was able to figure this out and get rid of the hum with a different adapter on the end of the speaker.

This is perfect for what I need. I had to connect two separate mono radios (ham radio and transceiver) to an auxiliary input. I used normal stereo for 2in1 Stereo "Y-Connector" but both radios only played from the left channel. So I bought this to run both mono radios separately in the left and right channels. Now I have CB on the left channel and amateur radio on the right channel. This works to split a stereo output into two mono inputs. One for the left channel and one for the right channel…

Great for splitting phone audio into separate speakers for true stereo

I have several brands of Bluetooth speakers and some use Apple Airplay. But none of them play stereo consistently, hour after hour. So I resorted to real cables. This little dongle separates the two channels very well, allowing one cable to go to the right speaker and the other to the left speaker. But what's really cool is that the two females on it have nothing to do with the "ring" (which is usually where the right channel is). Some other splitters have a ground on the ring, or simply a…

This cable splits the stereo channels. It's different (but similar) to a DJ splitter cable. This cable takes each channel of a stereo pair and outputs it to the appropriate channel on each output. This is really important to understand: if you plug a pair of stereo headphones into the left output, you will only hear the sound in the left headphone. Likewise, when connected to the right output, you will hear the sound in the left earphone. On the other hand, a DJ splitter takes each channel in a

Another app - works great!

I am a radio amateur. I bought this cable so that I could connect both a radio control interface (CAT/CI-V) and a speaker to the "Band B" output of an Icom ID-5100A radio. I bought USB to CAT "CI-V". Control cables from Brand, bluemax49ers here at Revain. It was plugged into the red connector labeled "Ring". At the same time, I connected the speaker to the black connector labeled "Tip". On the Ring (CI-V) side I can control the radio with a few programs. On the tip (speaker) side, I can hear…

Allows recording of two microphones while recording video

First, it's a well-made cable with a solid feel. I have the impression that it will last for many years. I wanted to use two mics with my camcorder and figured this cable would work. The camera has a 3.5mm stereo input, but when I plug in a single mic, I'm limited to only hearing sound from that mic. I have a gun mic and a lavalier mic and this cable allows me to use both. I plug one mic into one of the jacks and the other mic into the other jack, then plug the jack into the camera input. This…

Lav Multitrack Microphones

I purchased this product to enable my recording device (Olympus VN721PC 2GB Digital Voice Recorder) to record two lav microphones in a multitrack setup. On this recorder, the microphone plugged into the jack goes to the left channel instead of the right, and the microphone plugged into the jack goes to the right channel instead of the left. This allowed me to record audio in separate tracks. However, when I tried it with a USB sound card connected to my computer, it didn't happen. Since this…
