I have several brands of Bluetooth speakers and some use Apple Airplay. But none of them play stereo consistently, hour after hour. So I resorted to real cables. This little dongle separates the two channels very well, allowing one cable to go to the right speaker and the other to the left speaker. But what's really cool is that the two females on it have nothing to do with the "ring" (which is usually where the right channel is). Some other splitters have a ground on the ring, or simply a sleeve long enough to induce a ground signal in the area where the ring should be, reducing (or cutting off entirely) the sound from the speaker. These other splitters are a problem as all speakers have 3.5mm stereo inputs and use both the left (tip) and right (ring) channels. Using a splitter and then 3.5mm tip, ring and sleeve extenders works great.
