Fit is good no leaks

It's hard to rate them because if they're bad everything will explode and I'll die. I give them five stars because they are great value for money, connect and don't leak at all. What more could you ask for from flame arrestors?

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!

Acetylene trap does not discharge pressure. After turning off the cylinder and venting the hoses, there is approximately 2psi of residual pressure left in the hose! This is extremely dangerous. DO NOT BUY this if you value your life and safety.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons

Do not overtighten the connector.

The only problem I had was that I tugged the connector a bit to tighten it. . Also, make sure you use a bit more pressure as the arresters limit the pressure of the gas a bit.

Wouldn't support gas supply

I put it on my torch and every few seconds the flame would go out with a loud pop. I lit it again, adjusted the flame, and as I started heating up my project, another flame went out. I put on my old flame arrestors and the flashlight worked fine. I sent them back and will invest in another brand. This could be a flaw in a good product, but it didn't work for me.

Poorly finished best in welder

I did a bubble test after installation and got a lot of bubbles from the acetylene block. After removing it from the burner, I found that the sealing surface of this flame arrester was so poorly finished that it was impossible to tighten it sufficiently without leaking. The photo shows a ditch all over the face. I should have checked it out before I even tried it. Also, when I tried to remove the flame arrestor from the hose, the block inside detached and fell apart. It had both a flash…

increases the length for gas welders

increases the length of the mixing chamber, which, as I understand it, lengthens. Keeps your hand away from the flames and gives me a more stable platform to work on. I'll take a socket or hose fitting for cutting and a solder/weld mixing chamber. The regulator on the OX recently failed. side and didn't even notice, the low pressure side read right where it should, only popped up when OX popped up. The hose blew off the fitting which explains why it was so difficult to keep it lit! This was the
