Today is December 23rd and my husband put it together early to make sure it would work well and be ready to go by Christmas morning. Well it doesn't work properly. It's very difficult for the car (which came with the kit) to get enough speed/fun to drive on the track. Probably my favorite Hot Wheels purchase to date. Be sure to remember the D batteries, but the kids had hours of fun testing which cars could do the most laps. My 6 year old mostly assembled it by himself. Some downsides, some of the upper loops of the track had a hard time holding together at the connectors after a while. Also keep in mind that not all cars are track compatible for various reasons as well as when cars end up crashing and flying away. better duck and cover, haha. We have found…

This track was very exciting for the first few minutes but ended in disappointment and tears. The booster works for a few cycles with the car that came with the track, but often doesn't reach the top, even with fresh batteries. Another machine barely worked but no luck with other machines even with a pack of 20 new machines we bought. The booster takes some time to get up to speed after starting the car. So if a car enters the launcher shortly after the first, it will lose too much power and…
