I was very unhappy with the flow of water from both the shower head and hose. I was ready to send it back. The water pressure in my house is 60-70psi, so low water pressure wasn't an issue. Examination of the block showed that there is a restrictor (not a strainer) inside that blocks the flow. After removing the restrictor, the showerhead and head work great.

The shower works well and has good water flow control. On/Off switch or "Flow/Pause" on hand shower is not really "On/Off". The Pause position slows the flow of water, but doesn't completely block it. The pause switch is the reason I bought the shower head. If you're using both heads at the same time, it's best to remember that this essentially splits the pressure in two, so it's not as powerful as when using a shower head, but makes up for the loss of pressure in size and range.
