🍾 Houdini W2205T Vertical Corkscrew Kit, Set of 4, 12x 10, Multicolor Review

I bought this as a spare. I just have to use it and it's a piece of junk. It doesn't hold the cork in place so it just makes a hole in the cork. Don't buy this!

Honestly, this corkscrew doesn't work. The corkscrew fits the cork snugly, but when you lift the handle to remove the cork, the corkscrew simply pops out of the cork, leaving the cork in the bottle. I studied and studied directions and did everything right. This expensive gadget just doesn't work as advertised. Buy something else.

I'm not particularly impressed with this. The case of this model is made entirely of plastic. It surrounds a solid metal handle and internal metal parts. The black plastic handle on my previous one broke because it has a metal pin that goes through the plastic retaining clip. Too much pressure on it will cause the pin to break the plastic retaining bracket. This is NOT repairable and will render the device unusable. The first warning that something was wrong was the fact that the corkscrew came in a ziplock bag rather than the original packaging. When we tried to use the corkscrew it screwed easily into the cork, but when we lifted the handle to remove the cork it twisted off leaving the cork immobile in the bottle.
