They work great with one exception: the side panels are too weak and flex when stacked on top. The big size is bigger than the small ones. There aren't any better options as I wanted something that was more accessible and looked better than clear plastic containers. The broken ones are for plates - I throw away the felt inserts and use them for hats/scarves, for example. Square boxes tend to support the weight better than rectangular ones.

At first I really liked these storage boxes. After 2 weeks I noticed that the front of the large box is sagging, actually collapsing, from the weight of the two boxes at the top. There really wasn't much weight in the 2 smaller boxes. I would recommend when you get them not to store anything on top of the larger box as shown in the description picture. Large windows. This set contains 3 viewing boxes. Large quite large - 24 inches wide. Cloth box with plastic insert so you can see what's in the box. The insert is on one side only, so you can always flip the box to the other side if you don't want the contents to be known. It comes with a lid. The lid looks like a box and has a brown border. All three boxes do very well in the closet. I used 2 standard shoe boxes and one shoe box. I used this set to replace them and it has a bit more room too.
