I upgraded to this from my 27 inch Samsung curved monitor and it was well worth playing around with the settings I was able to get the picture where I liked it. The monitor stand itself has the least amount of horizontal tilt, which worries me a little when I'm not cooped up while gaming, but it's worth buying if it's on sale and you need a new monitor.

I got this from a treasure truck deal. A 165Hz, 1440p IPS monitor costs less than $190. The first one I got from this deal had a defect in the top right corner of the panel that was only visible from certain angles. The panel looks warped. I returned it for another one that fits perfectly. This is a great monitor that I was fortunately able to purchase for less than $190, all said and done. Can't ask for more for the price paid. Excellent value for money and quality! I use it as a second screen next to my ultra wide 38 inch screen. Switch between portrait and landscape orientation as needed. Works perfectly.

This is a quality LG panel but without the high cost. The compromise you're making is that the connectivity options are minimal with just one HDMI port. Also no USB. But it delivers what you need: picture quality, brightness and resolution. Stunning display.

Buy with this money! I bought a treasure wagon from Amazon for $180 and it's no worse than panels that cost $285-315. It fits the bill and has a good response time. The only problem won't be the best contrast, but that happens with all ips monitors because it's not a va panel. A must buy at this price! Even at $240 or $250, it's a steal.

What I didn't like: Ghosting and saturation spikes during fast camera movements when playing at max response time (level 4), image tearing during fast camera movements when playing at low response time (level 1). Bought a legendary treasure truck, the monitor came quickly. Unfortunately the one I got came with a cheaper BOE panel which HP replaced with these bad guys to save money. There is a strange green tint on the screen that I can't get rid of with any adjustment. But for a second or third monitor, the thing works.

This is a great monitor for the price if you can get it under $200, although HP is already converting the x27q to a Boe panel.

Got two of these for my first computer build in ten years! The picture quality is good and the monitor isn't bad either. One star deducted because these dummies didn't have a power cord for one of the monitors. It cost me an extra $8 and a game day less. first world problem.

Keep an eye out for the legendary Revain Treasure Truck deal, which brings the price down to around $175. At this price, this is an absolutely insane deal. The high refresh rate and IPS panel offer a great experience at an incredible price. The only thing it really lacks is better HDR quality at just HDR400, but that's to be expected at this price point, and it's still a great monitor even without HDR.

Used for gaming, photo editing, computer work. HP has pulled the bait with this monitor and you can get a superior LG panel or a poor quality BOE panel. Anyway, if you can get it for under $200, it's a bargain and a HUGE improvement over 1080p 60Hz. IPS glow is kinda bad. My bottom left corner has a bad IPS glow, bottom right corner is noticeable, top corners are fine.

Got it when it was on the Treasure Truck for less than $200. But even for a normal price this is a really good monitor. It hit all the sweet spots for me. Would buy again.

They've quietly downgraded this monitor: it no longer uses LG panels. Now they use BOE, a discounted panel with much poorer quality control. I got it for next to nothing but I'm starting to think I got what I paid for.
