What do you use Elmers Glue? I don't know if I'll buy another K&N after that. I installed it manually last year (as I have always done for 40 years). I didn't have an open-end wrench, so I had to use a 1" socket. I ended up having to buy a filter strap wrench to get it out. The strap wrench worked with no problems.

High quality oil filter, made in USA. HP-4005. This K&N was bought because motorcycle oil filters appear to be experiencing a surge in demand and an associated price increase. I have used K&N oil filters on high performance Pontiacs and Chevys for years. There have never been any problems with the filter breaking inside when the canister is opened for inspection. I hope it works well on a 6.7 Ford Diesel.

K&N does not disappoint, I have used K&N for a long time and have great confidence in their products. Shipping was quick and the filter came in a nice sturdy box and the filter itself was wrapped in plastic to keep out foreign objects. It's easy, but when you use a wrench to tighten the built-in nut, you need to put pressure on the wrench head to keep it from slipping off.
