I recycle the printer

The printer stopped printing after a few days. I ordered new cartridges which fixed the problem for about five documents and then they stopped printing. I threw away the printer and bought an Epson. in the office depot where printing is still in progress. I'll give the HP printer to the garbage man.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Sparse instructions

really basic printer

I am amazed that I was able to find this very old model in brand new condition! It replaces the one I had for five years that eventually died and the only one that fits in the limited space I have. So far everything is working fine. It's much simpler, easier to use and there are fewer parts to fail. I wish HP would make this simple printer again.

form printing! suitable for inkjet printers

I was so happy and excited when my new printer arrived even though the box looked so shabby. The printer appeared to be in good condition and I loved that the installation of this printer was so smooth and easy. However, I was very disappointed after the installation, including installing the new ink that came with it, making several attempts to print and seeing blank spots each time.

Hard to Find HP Printer

We have been using this printer for a number of years now and love the features that are no longer available in today's printers. When we saw the new device, not the refurbished one, we were thrilled. The printer arrived as promised. However, the box had a hole and the paper feeder was slightly damaged, but could be repaired. I fixed it and was able to get it working using parts from our old device.

But nice printer.

So far I'm happy with the printer, but please note that if you already own or plan to buy this printer, you should postpone installing Mac OS X Snow Leopard. This printer is not yet compatible with Snow Leopard. I installed SL and now the printer won't print. The printer software crashes and sends a crash report to Apple every time I try to print, no matter what application I'm using. I found that Apple also has a printer compatibility website: [.]. This printer is not on the compatibility…

Great little printer

My old HP printer ran wild and loved my new D4360! Installation was a CLIP! I didn't install the automatic update after reading other reviews. Thanks, people! Someone said there is no instruction manual. All the information you need is available from the HP Start menu. The same someone said it wouldn't work with a home network. It works great with my home network. I love that USB port on the front of the printer. I use it to upload from camera to computer. I'd have to buy a USB hub if it didn't

Inexpensive home/office printer.

I only use this printer for home and office documents, not for photos or pictures. My printing needs are approximately 3 x 500 = 1500 single sided pages per year. This requires 2 sets of "XL" color and black cartridges per year. The price performance of the cartridge is average. Given the current cartridge market prices of around $30 a set, you'll probably be blocking 5-6 cents for a single page print. If you buy this printer online, be sure to ask the seller if the USB2. Brand new printers in…

Enthusiastic at first, but software gets aggressive

I bought this printer because I wanted a printer with no "extras" like a scanner or fax and initially gave it four stars. This review was removed after having it for a long time and seeing how intrusive the software has become in that time. The problem is how intrusive the software is - five apps are constantly running in the background. There are "HP Solution Center" pop-up reminders to buy new inks, print pop-ups, frequent download updates due to suspected software bugs, etc. I also started…
