Two mouths later, this SSD will make you cry!

Using this SSD as an NVMe SSD initially, I think the read/write speeds are fine. However, after using two mouths, it became very slow! Very bad SSD. spend money on it. The Samsung 970 evo is worth buying, even if it is significantly more expensive!

3200 MBit/s under Linux!

Amazing speed. hdparm -t /dev/nvme. gives 3200. normal sata is about 550. this also has 2 leds under the label; Not sure what's different, but they blink at different speeds when the drive is accessed. if it's under the radiator you'll never know ;)

Pros
  • So far so good

  • Useless features

Excellent and fast NVMe drive. The speeds are as expected.

This NVMe SSD is faster than or at least on par with my Samsung 970 Pro and a lot cheaper! I like him. I've attached screenshots of both drives in CDM for comparison. Any difference between them, NVMe SSDs, and their speeds is more than enough for most people these days. I'm just glad this SSD seems reliable and seems to last a long time. Good HP/Silicon Motion.

Damn, just damn. fits computers and accessories

After figuring out how to install it, with a lot of help from You Tube, I concluded that this is a great device. I get over 3200 megabytes per second read speed and 3000+ mps write speed. It has given my Dell XPS 8910 better than new performance and is the best single home computer purchase I have ever made. It was a little tricky to boot from an M.2 drive at first, but if you move your hard drive to it and then DISCONNECT YOUR EXISTING DRIVE before booting, it works. After the first boot, I…

Performance comparable to Samsung 970 EVO Plus at almost half the price

Incredible value for last generation 3 PCIe x4 3D NAND 2TB SSD at only $320 with a 5 year warranty compared to Samsung 970 evo (not Plus) $500. (970 evo plus 2TB not yet available). The insanely fast speeds in Crystal Diskmark are only slightly slower than my 970 evo plus 1TB. Imperceptible in everyday life or gaming. (Screenshots) The only downside is the lack of real consumer support like data transfer, trial or setup software like Samsung Magician or tech support. Technical support is listed

First flash drive failed, replacement worked fine

This M.2 storage is indeed Hewlett Packard branded storage. Should be high quality but my first module messed up my entire computer and required a full network install requiring HP support and most of my time. After reinstalling I tried the memory again and encountered problems again, with the first symptoms of both attempts being my peripherals such as keyboards and mice becoming unresponsive. On the second install, I removed the memory and called HP support again. We fixed some broken drivers

  • Regular price

  • Slightly dented

I would give 5 stars BUT.

I would give the drive(s) 5 stars except 1 of 2 drives failed and not easy to decipher. That aside, I'm generally very happy with the performance and ease of installation - well, on one of the computers I had to disassemble the entire computer to get to the hard drive. No problem with the hard drive - only with the computer. One of the two drives is installed and working as advertised. Other. Spring. not as much. I installed the 2nd CD - worked great, long enough to transfer everything from the
