💾 HP EX950 1TB M.2 PCIe 3.1 x4 NVMe 3D TLC NAND Internal SSD 5MS23AA#ABC Review

This NVMe SSD is faster than my Samsung 970 Pro, or at least on par, and a lot cheaper! I like it. I've attached screenshots of both disks in CDM for comparison. You really wouldn't notice a difference between the two, NVMe SSDs and their speeds are more than enough for most people these days. I'm just glad this SSD seems reliable and seems to last a long time. Good HP/Silicon Motion.

After figuring out how to install it, with a lot of help from You Tube, I came to the conclusion that this is a great device. When reading I get over 3200 megabytes per second. Speed and write speed 3000+ mps. It has given my Dell XPS 8910 better than new performance and is the best single home computer purchase I have ever made. It was a little tricky to boot from an M.2 drive at first, but if you move your hard drive to it and then DISCONNECT YOUR EXISTING DRIVE before booting, it works…

(970 evo plus 2TB not yet available). The insanely fast speeds in Crystal Diskmark are only slightly slower than my 970 evo plus 1TB. Imperceptible in everyday life or gaming. I installed this HP Ex950 in Asus rog Gl503vs, laptop came with SATA m.2 and sshd drive. I wanted a main drive that was as fast and large as possible, so I went with the HP Ex950. Installation was easy, I cloned my m.2 ssd to sshd, then installed hp ex950 and cloned os to hp nvme. sshd reformatted and everything was fine, boot time is now 9 seconds. This SSD has proven itself proven to be the cause of many problems and days of wasted time. Although it failed when an HP tech replaced the motherboard on my Z4 workstation. I don't blame the device, I think it was the fault of the technicians. So I don't put it on the product. However, there are some issues with this device that you should be aware of. I ordered two 2TB NVMe SSDs for my Dell Precision 7740 laptop. The SSD outperforms the NVMe SSD that Dell originally supplied, is incredibly cheap and doesn't overheat. A few important details: 1.
