Great printer. Really like. Cartridges are refillable, compatible ones cost a penny. There is an extended version of cartridges, CF226X, with a capacity of 9000 prints, while the price for compatible ones starts at 600. In the office, such printers departed at 200-250 thousand, without a single breakdown. Kiosers of the same class cannot boast of this. I think that the purchase was completely justified, it's a pity that they were discontinued and now it's hard to find. Yes, at first there were…

Pros
  • Compact, efficient. Cheap and easy to maintain.
Cons

Good print quality - printers and supplies

Good print quality. Terrible software. HP has always made reliable printers. This was purchased a few weeks ago to replace a similar model and I'm happy with the actual printing capabilities. However, getting the software to stop automatic two-sided printing is not easy and may take a few tries. Worse, I got the error message "Loading paper tray 2" followed by "Load available media" for no apparent reason. I've browsed the forums and have come to the conclusion that here too an adjustment of…

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Some difficulties

This is my fourth HP laser printer and by far the lightest and smallest (I bought my first Laserjet II in 1990 and it was $2000!) It replaces the HP 2055dn which unfortunately started the pages to smudge, probably due to a bad fusing unit. Unfortunately, it's cheaper to upgrade than it is to face the expense and uncertainty of repairing the old one (a fuser costs $110-$190!). This new block works fine. I set it to "IT Management" so my software doesn't automatically update (or auto-break) over…

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Upgrade availability

Better hope you don't get a lemon because their guarantee is a joke!

Here is my story about working with HP Customer Support to replace the defective product. This is my third printer since my original purchase. The original printer broke after a few months of use by one user. The first printer was replaced with a refurbished one. The refurbished machine also broke in less than 6 months (again a user with 3,000 sheets through the machine) causing customer service issues. After an hour and a half it took for the replacement, we were informed that the refurbished…
