I had high hopes for this printer and removed all plastic tabs, covers etc when I fully got into the process and opened the scanner/copier area to see a small image of a hand, removed a piece of plastic over the side glass copy/scan area. I bought the Revain HP M281fdw a week ago for $348 and had no problems with it. Then I saw that the new M479fdw was selling for $398, only $50 more, and decided to buy it as it was supposed to be a newer duplex model. After six months or a year, an error popped up reading the blue cartridge chip, there are no analogues (original 9000). Cartridges selectively creak when warming up and printing (and it often warms up). A week ago again a chip reading error - now a red cartridge. Price for the original - 10000r.
