💻 Refurbished HP Pavilion 13 i3-8145U Laptop: 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, FHD Display, Windows 10 Review

After spending a few days researching dozens of laptops, I decided on this HP Pavilion 13 i3 to replace the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. After using it for about a week I am very happy with my choice. At first I decided to buy refurbished and was a bit concerned about the condition of the item. I was pleasantly surprised and would classify the condition as new. I opened my 'new' laptop and started it up with no problems. I've had this for a month and it works like a dream. It's perfect for what I use it for (learning) and it's fast.

I was looking for a cheap laptop to sit outside in the summer. It does the job well. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but it's actually better than most laptops I've had. (I prefer desktops.) It loads websites quickly and the screen looks nice. The computer is lightweight and has good battery life. Today I used it for 2 hours at 100% brightness and the battery life was still around 80%.

This is a high quality and very portable laptop. I wanted something small and thin that you can use while sitting on the couch or lying in bed. It's perfect for that. Obviously, this isn't a slot, but if you're looking for a portable laptop for surfing the web with a quality screen, this is definitely for you.

There are very small scratches on the metal body but the screen is perfect. The battery is not perfect, it lasts about 5 hours when running SQL and some websites. There is an LED backlight under the keyboard. The performance of the i3-8145U in connection with a network is decent. Either way, at $320 it's a solid choice for a non-gaming student.
