Hewlett-Packard VS17E 17 LCD Monitor with 75Hz Refresh Rate, ‎EN623AA#ABA Review

Attractive, affordable, crystal clear resolution, compact, great handling and built-in speakers. I can't ask for much more.

I originally bought this type of monitor many years ago and was very pleased with the size (up from the standard 12 inches) and the fact that it is non-reflective. When it finally did (it was taking longer and longer to get out of screensaver mode), I knew I wanted the same guy, even though they've come out with even bigger screens now. I am very happy to be "whole" again!

It has 63625 hours and has never let me down. It streams HD movies. NO problem - it fits the HP Media Center M7680NN PC. Never a problem, always reliable for me, will buy again, HP is the best! I recommend this monitor and the built in speakers sound great for its small size and less desk clutter!

I bought this monitor in 2007. It has been moved 6 times since I bought it. It was my primary computer monitor for about five years and was stored for the other two years. It still works just as well as when it was first purchased. Cool little guy, the only thing that makes it look dated is the 17 inch size. However, if you can handle the size, it might be enough for someone until the monitors themselves become obsolete!

I don't like 16:9 aspect ratio monitors, so I was looking for something with a 4:3 aspect ratio. That fits the bill. + The display is quite sharp. Not the best display I've seen, but more than adequate for email and browsing + The built-in speakers work much better than I expected, even at high volumes, music could only be heard from the right side of the headphones. I tried plugging the same headphone into the headphone jack on the back of the processor case and everything worked fine there…

Eventually I got rid of the CRT monitor that took up most of the workspace. I'm really digging on built in speakers. I am very happy with it.

This HP VS17E monitor came with a Pentium desktop that I've had since 2005. It has worked great and has served me well for the past 6 years. This monitor only works at certain resolutions, and at those resolutions, desktop icons have ghost trails (at least on my computer). They're not that bad, and if you're looking for a budget monitor, you can get by with one. Hell, that might not even happen on your computer (I have a Dell), but be aware that it's not the highest quality (which is reflected in the price), but it works and it's cheap, so if you don't interested in super hi-cut quality will be up to the task.

Exactly what I was looking for to replace the deceased. Same make and model. I tried one of the new widescreens but the colors weren't as bright and true to life, the writing was so faded I could barely read it, the images were so stretched that they were hard to see.
