Great Addition to Our Cutting Tool Arsenal

We recently picked up a hole saw from this brand and it has proven to be a great addition to our industrial and scientific cutting tool arsenal. Based on our own experience, this hole saw is durable, easy to use, and has a fast cutting speed. The teeth stay sharp after multiple uses, which is a major advantage. However, we did notice that it can create some vibration when in use, but it is minor and does not affect the precision of the cut. Overall, we highly recommend this hole saw for anyone…

Pros
  • Efficient and quick cutting with minimal effort
Cons
  • Not suitable for cutting through harder materials such as metal

My selection of crowns: Power & Hand Tools

It may be a little OCD, but all my crowns are yellow Starretts. So when I couldn't find this size locally, I did. Don't hesitate to buy this one from Revain. Mainly used in pine and poplar, I have a good life with them.

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • Obsolete Model

Won't last. Best suited for wood and plastic.

We use 1 5/8 bi-metal hole saws on a pipe cutter mounted on a drill press. As good as the Starret brand is, these are by far the worst hole saws I have ever used. One cut and teeth fly everywhere. Went through all the saws we ordered throughout the day.

Pros
  • Drill parts and accessories
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
