Works as well as a Powered USB Hub

I have a Dell touchscreen computer that runs off a laptop motherboard and has only 4 USB ports. Cameras, microphones, keyboard and mouse. Every other hub I looked at with the same specs required power, and this one didn't work very well.

Pros
  • , even the old one understands
Cons
  • There are nuances

GREAT USB HUB: Computer Accessories and Peripherals

These tests were very quick and should be taken as incredulous. but they seem to make sense. I tested the hub with two SSDs and one hard drive. First, do a quick test by connecting each drive to a USB 3.0 port on your motherboard using SABRENT SSD to USB adapters to get a baseline (one at a time, same port). The two SSDs were then connected to the mainboard simultaneously via two different USB 3.0 ports. Finally, I tested two drives at the same time on a VENTION hub. Two SSDs and then SSD+HDD

Hot plug seems to break where I plug it in

This works great as a USB hub once things settle down. But unlike any other USB device I've used lately, when I plugged it into my computer or dock, it seemed to freeze the system. My docking station would freeze until I cycled everything and the computer seemed to have problems for a few seconds. I haven't observed this behavior with other USB devices, so I *guess* that there is something odd about it. one. I've tried moving the components I've attached to this thing to other USB ports and

Mine doesn't transfer data just charges :(

I used this as a power strip and USB expansion port as my PC only has one working port on the back and I have to be on the floor and under my desk, to switch between USB ports so I needed an extension cable with more than one USB port and this one sounded like it would be perfect - and the reviews are great. But the one I got was for charging only (which is fine is) But it doesn't transfer data from my phone to my PC so I went back to one cable and changed it to use different devices Yes my PC

A piece of junk or possibly a destructive device

Whenever I plug two things into this port it overheats and won't let me restart my computer as it obviously draws too much power from a single USB connection pulls . And I use game controllers, not even ones that could draw that much power. And forget the fact that I put THREE parts in the port. It's just not possible. Over time my USB ports started to fail. This may not be related to this device, but it is possible given the number of times it has shown up with a "charged" error. So this piece

Poor quality, started failing after 10 minutes of use.

POOR QUALITY. Will be returned. It started to fail after 10 minutes of use, it also got very hot. Plug in a short dongle of a wireless mouse and then a 16GB flash drive, both plugged in and mounted and working right out of the box as expected, good. The problems started about 10 minutes later. If the mouse continued to freeze and/or turn off, the flash drive went offline or "greyed out" (not writable). The noted hub was warmer than expected for an unpowered device. Disconnected from my
