I would like a longer USB data cable, even just 30Hz

Sometimes loses connection to monitor. You have to unplug/plug it in. If you have USB, they are incorrectly disabled. That's pretty short, especially if you're wiring it around or under a table? In addition, the signal frequency via HDMI is only 30 Hz. Most modern monitors have a frequency of 60 Hz.

  • shiny
Cons
  • wrinkled

Cool docking station under the table, if not "wireless ".

I tested it without installing it on the table. I've found it does everything they claim and doesn't overheat while doing it. The front-to-back connector layout means I could mount it on one of my desks and connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to it from the back, just like a desktop PC. This would allow me to just put my phone, tablet or laptop down and use it as a desktop PC without any issues. The claim that the desk is "wireless" doesn't hold true as I still need cables for the monitor…

  • practical thing
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Was hoping it would work with Thunderbolt 2 input

USB-C is the Thunderbolt 3 port found on newer Apple Macs. I have an older Apple Macbook Air with Thunderbolt 2 output (mini display port). I couldn't find a cable going from the mini display port to USB-C, although I did find a cable going the other way. As far as I know these cables are not bi-directional. As a result, I wasn't able to use this dock as I had hoped. Since I don't have a computer with a true USB-C output, I didn't want to risk damaging anything by connecting it to this dock…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Expensive but reliable USB-C dock

I needed a good USB-C dock to add more ports to my computer and I liked this dock because it could be installed on the desk. The mount is small and comes with adhesive strips and screws so installation is quick and easy. The dock itself is packed with plenty of useful ports, including ports for USB-C, USB-A (both 2.0 and 3.0), Ethernet, SD cards, etc. It's also designed to make cables easy to hide, and things stay neat and minimalist. The data transfer is fast and everything has worked…

  • Great price
Cons
  • Style 90

Neat out of sight, out of sight dock.

I love how this thing can be under your desk, out of sight. I tested it on my Google Pixel Slate and everything works as advertised. For a non-USB-C PC, you can use a USB to USB-C adapter, but your monitor may not work. They give you glue to test the mounting plate on where you want it and if you like it you can screw it permanently. I think you skip the screws and just use it with glue as is. If he ever falls, get stronger than 10 feet. As long as we keep it. From the shrink-wrapped packaging…

  • Complete set
