These work why not?$

I don't know why I pay so much for these damn things but I do. I don't have a dishwasher and they are much easier to clean and MUCH more durable than the multi drink caps that come with my smaller Nalgene bottles. I'm glad they exist. I buy them when I see them on sale so they're in all my bottles now. They do their job. Work well. Easy-care.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Exactly what I wanted

I think this is a definite improvement over the original cover. The jury is still out for me as I've only had a few weeks but otherwise no major problems. There is no problem with the gasket itself, but you need to check when you unscrew the small plug, especially if it has been screwed very tight. If it is, the large seal can come loose when you open it, and you might not notice until your stuff gets wet. I just open it with both hands, holding one hand most of the time.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Legacy model

Great replacement cap for Nalgene bottles.

4 stars for the price (it costs the same as my bottle of Nalgen). I had an earlier version of this cover and it was fantastic. When the bottle was stolen I bought a newer version of the cap and was not disappointed. Small improvements are noticeable, ie. Silicone pads and a hook to keep the lid from hitting your face. And the cap was expensive (the cost of the bottle itself), the added functionality was worth it. You can't go wrong with 32 ounces of Nalgene and Capcap+.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Perfect for a quick sip!

I use Nalgene 48 oz. Bunker for my workout at our local BJJ/Muay Thai gym. Before I bought the Humangear Cap, I drank from a wide-necked bottle. We take short breaks to drink water and then return to the mat. A few quick sips of water usually resulted in me spilling water all over myself when I was in a hurry. With the Humangear cap I unscrew it, swallow as much water as I want in a controlled manner, put it back on and return to the instructor. I love this item and wish I had bought it sooner!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Not as good as original

I have used closures on Nalgene and other bottles for years and have always loved them. They are durable, dishwasher safe and will not leak. I ordered a Cap + Cap for the first time and was a bit disappointed. It still doesn't leak and is still easy to clean, but something about the new design means that the top cap (the part that screws into the mouthpiece) doesn't turn independently of the bottom cap (the part that goes in the mouthpiece is screwed) rotates the bottle). easy. This makes it…

Buy original. The best accessory for sports and outdoor activities

I like the original, but this new version is not suitable for everyday use. I have the original 2012 caps which are still in perfect condition but I have already had two of these newer versions fail. The weakest point is the new cap leash, it has a nifty new hole that can keep the cap away from the face when inserted into it. This creates a huge weak point that will eventually tear, leaving you without a line to hold it together. I have two of these new ones and have to be careful to hold the…

New is no better

I have the original version and the newer version. Original simple 5* product. This new version is not good. The only improvement over version 1 and version 2 is the handle structure, which makes it easier to open and close the lid safely. The lid latch is terrible in v2. Replaced by that of v1. Then, after about a month of use, I noticed an awful smell when I opened the lid to drink. They have added silicone pads to the v2 which will keep moisture underneath which will eventually lead to odor…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Better for travel than Nalgene Sipper Liner

I love this top with one caveat. I use it with Nalgene 32oz wide mouth bottles. It works great with plain water, but if you have to shake the bottle to get a smooth mix in your drink, it won't leak and the liquid will get into the cap and drip when you slide it to the side and/or the hook . it's to his little hook. I've used it with some things I take in the afternoon and it had to be shaken and each time moisture got stuck in the cap which then seeped into my hand and also into the bottle…
