The battery compartment is fixed with a screw. The head of the screw broke off trying to remove it. The voice recording quality is terrible. It is impossible to distinguish between different words or phrases written on different buttons. I'm sending them back and looking for better quality.

Was so excited to get this and wow. Great price and looks like a solid product but the sound quality is TERRIBLE on three of the four buttons. There's no way my dogs will learn a word from that awful conclusion. I use UK every day at my job so I know what clear voice acting sounds like. Even when I try to overwrite on the device it doesn't work. You will get a double beep and the message will not be recorded. UPDATE: Now returning the item as after a week I only have one working button left :(

is a lot of fun! Brody Dog and I are learning a whole new way to communicate. However, they are not very well made. The second day we had them, one of them broke. The record button is stuck and will not appear again. I just picked it up off the floor. Nothing sharp and game happened. They offered to replace if I returned the entire set. I don't want to interrupt the training we started with this so I'll just buy another set. I assume we'll be using more anyway.

I recently purchased the Talking Pet Starter Kit and I absolutely love it! The guide is very easy to follow and really gives you a good starting point on how to teach your dog to communicate. I started with a button to know when my dog needs to go outside. My dogs don't bark indoors (unless they're warning me of danger) so I wanted my dog to be able to tell me when to go outside. By following the directions and addressing my dog's behavior questions, I was able to show her how to use the button
