Hunter 53091 Builder Fan Brazilian Review

We bought 2 of these fans. One in May for our living room. Works perfectly! Quiet, easy to install and looks very good. So we bought a second one for our master bedroom in July and installed it in September. Wanted to turn it on and the lightbulb didn't work but the fan did. They put in new bulbs, nothing, after about 5 days they turned on the fan and nothing. We had an electrician, checked the wiring and everything is fine. Shit because we really like the fan :(

Where to start? Their high speed setting is slower than I would expect from a fan of this size. I had to replace the three circuit breakers on the fan side as they have failed (no longer clicks). I had two glass balls that were shattered by tension chains when accidentally hit (thanks kids). Their engines sometimes make small annoying noises at lower speeds. Do yourself a favor and see for yourself before you buy it. Or are you looking for something more expensive (but better).

We recommend this inexpensive fan that looks good and works great in our bedroom. We're impressed by how quiet the fan is, even at maximum speed. One day we didn't even realize we had left it on all night! It was pretty easy to install, but only after spending two hours learning all the parts to understand the installation. BUYING THIS WILL GET YOU LESS THAN ONE YEAR OF REGULAR USE OF THE LIGHTS. Do not buy Hunter as their brand is not what it used to be! Quick self installation, good instructions and perfectly balanced on arrival. I haven't installed a fan in about 15 years so I read the instructions slowly. The instructions are well written and in understandable English - don't run the auto-translator like so many modern products that make no sense to read. I thought I read enough reviews to be sure to buy two fans for the bedrooms. It wasn't until they were installed that I found out how weak they were. There are 3 speeds and even at the strongest speed the power isn't enough to really make a big difference. Bought 6 fans. Three Hunter 53091 Transitional 52`Builder Deluxe models, one Hunter Channing model and two Hampton Bay models. Installation was SUPER easy for all Hunter fans! I would say it took longer to install two Hampton Bays than it did to install all four Hunters. This involves fitting rubber grommets into the holes for the Builder Deluxe, which wasn't easy (use a blunt end to push it through the hole). UPDATE 8-21-19 I received a new wiring harness about a week or 10 days ago. I then hired a person to install a new harness as I have 2 bad knees, a rotator cuff and vertigo and cannot climb stairs to change the harness myself in my installed ceiling fan. The fan works again. I guess I should be happy as others didn't get their wiring harnesses and I'm glad I can hire someone to fix the Hunters ceiling fan.
