Hunter Douglas Brackets Vignette Roman Review

I have had these blinds for a long time. Suspension brackets became brittle and broke off! The replacement parts were metal and work great. Fast service and durable product. Very happy Stark

At first I thought it was wrong but they are much tighter to 'snap into'. They don't slow down like the plastic that came with the blinds. Great replacement!

I can't believe Hunter Douglas didn't think putting plastic right in front of street glass was a stupid idea. Look at old clips hilariously and you will have cascading disaster. I think the neighbor's brackets broke when my curtains fell down. Metal brackets won't do that for at least 300 years, maybe longer! HD might make them a little more affordable given the crap they had up their sleeve with their overpriced blinds.

This was the perfect direct replacement for old (broken) plastic braces. The same hole spacing and longer hex bolts saved me from having to pad or re-drill the mounting holes. Hex heads turn much easier than other screws and once the shutter assembly snaps into place it feels like part of the wall. My only concern is that it will likely take a lot of effort to remove the shadow, should it ever be necessary.

I like that metal brackets should be better than previously used plastic brackets. I have 4 Vignette Roman Shades and have had to replace broken plastic clips at a rate of 1-2 a year. Remember that new metal brackets have slightly different screw hole spacing than plastic brackets. I had to move the mounting points 1/4" and drill new pilot holes for the screws. So it was a bit more work, but once I figured it out, it was easy.
