The blades are wood not ABS as some of the Q&A say and more importantly there are holes in the top of the fan that are not covered Mesh cover. At our location, patio use requires a fan with a solid top or at least vents covered with mesh to discourage wasps and other insects from building nests inside.

This fan was professionally installed and works great. Efficiently circulates the air in the room and is very quiet. Elegant and beautiful style as I prefer ceiling fans without ugly lights. I have never been disappointed with Hunter desktop fans in the past so I look forward to using this Hunter ceiling fan for many years to come.

Looks attractive but is a bit traditional. Concealed installation is not possible. Installed three of these outside on a covered patio. There are two color options for the blades - solid black looks good. Quiet and smooth operation. I'm taking off 1 star because they don't move as much air as I would have hoped at full speed. It's decent, but if you're looking for strong winds, this isn't it.

Put simply, this is CRAZY, one of the best products at one of the fairest prices in the world. Bought six (6) for the covered porch for our restoration. The installation went smoothly (it's not often you hear such a claim in a 125-year-old house) and their work for the first few months was flawless. They're efficient, quiet, and clearly well-made. A real surprise with a reliable name at this price. We are very happy.

We wanted a black porch ceiling fan that looked like vintage Hunter fans made years ago. It looks great and works great. The blades of this fan are sealed to resist moisture and therefore will not sag or warp. I also installed a Hunter 99119 remote control kit to match the in-ceiling hub. Both the fan and the remote control work flawlessly, and both are designed for humid environments.

Ordered two fans, one was ok and installed correctly. On the other hand, however, the main harness is cut off at the base. Very strange. Stuck abroad I haven't been able to open it to find out about it yet and fell out of the returns window. Anyway since my patio fans match I will be ordering more. Disappointed but it's 2020 so seems standard. It's very hot in here, I'm not sure how well it will move the air considering it's only one speed.

Good quality, very little jitter at high speed. The cap on the mount is large to allow for cables and a remote control receiver when you plug it in. The lower part has wiring for the light and multiple mounting methods. The photo shows that I installed a simple street fitting. DO NOT buy cheap fans. I ordered this for my patio about 3 years ago but decided to wait to write this review. I wanted to make sure I had a fan that could handle the weather, which can be extreme in northern Wisconsin summers and winters since my patio is open.
