Brown Sugar Leaves Saver maintains moisture in brown sugar for approximately 3 to 6 months. Made from specially fired terracotta clay; food safe and reusable. Soak in water for 20-minutes and place in brown sugar, baked goods, cakes, cookies, marshmallows, even dried fruit to soften and maintain moistness. Multiple Uses , Preserver disc is also ideal for maintaining freshness and softness when storing brown sugar, granulated sugar, coconut, raisins, marshmallows, dried fruit, baked goods, cookies and more; can use dry (without soaking) to absorb moisture and keep spices, salts, crackers, pretzels and chips dry and crispy. Rinse with clean water only; do not use soap as it could leave a trace taste or scent.

They really work.

I've been using these for a while and I have to admit they really work. Once a bag of brown sugar is opened, I typically have about a month before it dries up. Then I cut it off with a butter knife. I use this and put my brown sugar in mason jars. My sugar has been holding for over a month now. I will get more so I can have more sugar.

Nice to have for kitchen utensils and gadgets

Should have bought these a long time ago. They are so easy to use, just wash lightly with soapy water then rinse and let soak for 20-30 minutes. Dry them and put them in bread, sugar, rice, flour and even tobacco. I didn't think I could use all 10 but I used every last one. Highly recommended. Very strong, thick and small enough to fit in a smaller container if needed.

So far they have seen it work well. Ideal for small bags and containers.

You don't have much time to know how well they work. They should be placed in a bag, container, etc. with any food that tends to go hard or stale after opening. brown sugar, cantaloupe, etc. However, I can tell you these are the cutest little terracotta leaves I know. ever seen! Tiny. Only about an inch and a half long and an inch and a half wide, but darn cute. I think they will be a great gift for a little housewife! Actually ordered 2 more sets to give to friends when I arrive.
