When I was a South Georgia Lakes guy my aunt had one like this. I remember hearing the ZAP sound from time to time while getting rid of mosquitoes. Which brings me to this wonderful device. I live in South Florida and it is rainy/mosquito season. I put it in my garage as we have it open quite a bit and when I work in the garage I MUST wear bug spray or I'll be eaten alive. I hooked it up a week ago and this thing literally kills it! This thing killed hundreds of dead bugs. highly recommended!

That's why I'm giving it two stars. We bought this to add another form of barrier protection to our garden. Insect repellent should do two things; 1. attract the bugs and 2. kill them once they get there. We've tried turning it on as soon as it gets dark so we can enjoy the patio after dark, we've tried moving it closer, further, lower and higher. This item is amazing. I have a HORRIBLE mosquito problem in my complex. I received this Tuesday. I was supposed to get it on Sunday but UPS sucks. Anyway I put this on my patio, after a few minutes they stopped eating me alive. I sat in the back for 5-10 minutes and came back with 10-15 bites itching. Now I can go out and not get bitten at all.
