The knives are not made from ordinary ceramics, but from modern zirconia ceramics using zirconia by pressing, firing and grinding. Unlike metal knives, they do not transfer metal ions into food, which is environmentally friendly. Knives do not need to be washed and polished. The development team visited a number of raw material suppliers around the world, settling on sustainable zircon sand from the West Coast of Australia. After applying a special processing and filtration technology, it has become an ideal raw material for knives. Through a 300 ton press, heat treatment at 2000°C and diamond polishing, the knives took shape. Unlike ordinary black ceramic knives, Huohou ceramic knives are made using high-temperature vacuum chemical oxidation and carburizing technology, in which carbon powder seeps into the raw material and fills the voids, compacting it and giving the blade strength and luster, having an antibacterial effect.

Pros

  • This is ceramics. Very fragile. Lots of usage restrictions. I'm satisfied, the product is exactly as described.

Has pros: The set is decent in general; it makes clean cuts and the odors do not linger on the knives (although it's possible that I'm simply not aware of them because of the environment I'm in right now). Cons: After about a month and a half of use, chips started to form on one of the knives, but we did not end up throwing it away because we did not use it for particularly demanding cutting tasks.

With its pros. They cut well, especially fresh bread with a crust, greens.
