I live in the north and we have a lot of snow. If you want a coat that is actually waterproof/snowproof, this is not a good solution.

Our dog only goes for walks outside and he really liked this jacket in the windy early days of winter. When it gets unexpectedly chilly, he stands in front of the door and asks him to bring him a jacket. Has held up very well in daily use, looks great. Very well done. I highly recommend!

This was a very disappointing purchase. Big was too small and xlarge was too big. I have a 30 pound mixed breed. The velcro doesn't stay closed, so I sewed quick-release fasteners on the stomach and neck to reinforce it. This morning I noticed that a filling is leaking out of a seam. It didn't take long for me. And for the price I think it's a very poor product.

Ordered size XL, fit was more like L. Jacket didn't help much, barely covered my dog. Tried on but never used. Labels and packaging are intact. The worst was the return. I didn't realize this was not a Prime purchase and the return instructions were complicated and time consuming. I still have the jacket with the original tags and packaging. Probably just give up instead of trying to jump through all the return hoops.

The jacket was good quality but was large. When I asked to return the item they said I could and then 2 days later they wanted to add a 25% restocking fee plus I had to pay for return shipping. I didn't mind the return but I'm not sure why they didn't mention the restocking fee in the first email when I asked for it back. It's really well done. We have several items from Ruffwear and the quality of this coat is just as good. Since I have a barrel shaped Boston Terrier that is 23 inches in circumference and 14 inches long, this coat actually suits him better than most sturdy clothing items. I had high hopes for this vest, from the photo it seemed so durable and attractive. I bought a very small one for my little Maltipoo and for a very small one it was huge I could fit 2 of them in. It almost fit my 9 lb York poop, it definitely fit in the middle but was a bit short so I'm sending it back due to this and questionable quality. I absolutely LOVE this jacket. At first I ordered a large one, but when I received it I realized it wasn't big enough for my dog. My dog is about 75 pounds (give or take a little winter weight). She is a lab mix. Extra Large was definitely better.
