Third party product in tool kits

The product is not suitable for steering as described. I had to go back. Should be metric to US or something like that. Sorry, but that's all true.

Quality Cost - Motorcycles and Power Sports

I should have listened to the other bad reviews; Both sides leak after installation. I bought a kit from Starfish and solved the problem. It cost me the price I paid to learn a valuable lesson. Quality costs more for a reason.

Front Steering Hydraulic Cylinder Gasket Kit

Although said to have been used with the Sea Star HC5342, this particular product did not work. After installation, liquid leaked out on both sides. I had to buy an OEM Sea Star, hard lesson. You get what you pay for. Save yourself the headache, buy OEM from the start. Save time and money.

Port side seal leaking after installation.

I carefully installed both seals after cleaning the steering components. Both lines and cylinders are flushed and pumped correctly. The left side seal leaks when the steering wheel is turned to the left. The main tie rod is clean with no burrs or scratches. The starboard seal works well, there are no leaks. Instead I had to buy factory parts. Very disappointed with the quality of the filling.

Easy to install. Fit and function perfect. Hydraulic fluid ruptured plastic seals

Worked great on my boat. Incredibly easy to install. Update, I have about 1 month after fitting, new gaskets are leaking and not just a little, more than the old ones I replaced. My guess is that the hydraulic fluid and seal plastic are not compatible, causing the seals to fail. I will contact the seller for a solution. Will update again.

ordered two sets and both are leaking

These are either very poor quality or not rated for the HC5345 steering cylinders advertised. They slipped easily so I was skeptical but proceeded with their installation. Then I spent time and money to bleed the whole system and all went well. But when I got out the next day, the seals were leaking and the engines wouldn't turn together. I would spend the money and buy an OEM if I were you. I can't return them as I bought them months before installing them. my loss
