Made of Aquarium Technology, Inc.'s exclusive premium reticulated foam, which maximizes surface area for nitrogen-fixing to keep pond water clean and safe for fish and turtles. Easy to clean filter media - no pads, cartridges, or canister. When the sponge gets dirty, simply squeeze it out a few times in a bucket of pond water (don't use tap water) and reattach. Several adapters included for use with simple pump/intake systems or for use with a protein skimmer prior to reintroduction via a waterfall or similar feature.
