This reads a degree lower than our thermostat says - not sure if it's off. Although humidity monitoring is very useful. We are allergic to dust mites and live in a humid climate 7-8 months of the year and then humidify the air during the heating season! It is useful to know if we need to turn on the air conditioner to dehumidify or if we are over-humidifying the air. It also helps maintain a healthy environment for my 80 year old piano!
