Great product for antennas

Signals are all clear, didn't fall apart while driving, looks great! I made contact with the KN4DGB 2m beacon with no problems

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Will be added later

- Gasket: Accessory

The antenna works great but the middle rubber gasket that holds the two antennas broke when I received it so I asked for a new gasket but was told I had to Whole send antenna back. . So I saved it and made my own. Pretty stupid not being able to send another pad to fix the problem, well life goes on.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • No paint required

Great antenna - works great!

Apart from a mechanical connection to be made, this is a turnkey installation. Excellent standing waves on all three bands. I mounted it on the front fender of my Jeep Patriot using a stainless steel bracket designed for the RAM truck. I am using this with a 25 watt tri-band cellular radio.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Negative impression

Medium antenna is good for portable audio and video

SWR at 2m is 2 to 1.5 SWR at 70cm is 2 to 1.5 and the end of the range is about 3. SWR at 1.25 m bad. . 4 almost the entire band. In this case, the SWR losses are about 36%. All measurements were performed with the Comet CAA-Mark II. Overall this is an average antenna compared to Nagoya Dual Band (2m/70cm) (best) and Diamond Quad (very good). ). Pretty disappointing at 1.25m as I ordered it for that purpose.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Null

Excellent propagation for a mobile antenna. Just get a good magnetic mount for it. I received one without a mount and used my own that I have. It is better to point the smaller J-Antenna towards the rear of the vehicle so there is much less drag at the antenna. Some people say J-Poles are overrated, but this is the BEST portable VHF/UHF ham radio antenna I've used. Get the whole valley here in Phoenix, Arizona with both repeaters and simplex. Absolutely happy with my purchase. Tested on…

Good antenna. some things you should know.

Good, heavy, powerful antenna. However, I had it on my truck (4-door Toyota Tacoma 2020) in the center of the cab roof with a heavy 66 lb engine. power magnet. The magnet held the antenna really well BUT at this point when I got to about 65mph the antenna pulled itself out of the base mount and lay down? This happened about a dozen times. I attached it to another bracket that is mounted on the edge of the hood in front of the passenger side windshield and that seemed to fix the problem…

  • Electronics

Don't like tuning.

I received this antenna and installed it in my truck. 2mtr is anything under 1.5 by 1.70 cm is almost impossible to adjust. I finally settled on transmission frequencies above 445,900. Anything below that is MUCH more than 5-1. OK. But it looks good and 2 meters is fine. I wrote to the company and asked how to set up the antenna. This is her answer. Dear customer, our technician has this antenna setup, you can connect and use your radio directly. If you have any problem or doubt, please contact
