GPS Windshield Mount

This is a great windshield mount. I am a professional truck driver. I use my GPS mount 3 weeks a month. It works on every truck I drive and I drive a lot of different trucks. I also have a handle mount, it came with my GPS, it works but not every truck likes this mount. If you are only buying 1 mount I highly recommend this mount.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Contact seller

Extends the dock for deep dashboards the way it should be.

Our 2014 Subaru Forester has a deep instrument panel. The woman said she had a hard time reaching the Note 4 in the navigation dock. This windshield mount is just the ticket. It's quite long, but due to the length, it was elastic. I solved this by making the foot. It was just a few things I had in my parts basket and a larger zip tie. It consists of a plastic tube whose origin I can't remember, chair legs and ties. Works like a clamp! photos included.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Sun-Sun

I have mixed reactions to this product. First, if you need a long arm on this mount, it will definitely fill that need. But the lever has to be adjusted very tightly, which I think is intentional to minimize the bouncing while riding that something like a GPS mounted on the end of a long lever can cause. It's still jumping. I decided I liked the shorter arm ties.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Doesn't work in the cold

This would be a great part if the suction cup wasn't so small and flimsy. The neck of the device is very strong and very long, which allows you to place the GPS (or cellphone or whatever) right where you can easily access it. Unfortunately, one critical design flaw is the lackluster suction cup. It'll hold up well enough in the warmer months, but once the cold weather sets in, this thing won't stay on your windshield. What happens is that the rubber that makes up the suction cup becomes heavily

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
