Feels like plastic, won't break down like paper and is compostable! Perfect straws to be honest. They can break more easily than plastic straws when chewed, but that's not a big deal. Great alternative to normal straws.

I've tried to use less plastic by buying paper straws but they don't last long in hot drinks and they get wet. We tried them because they are natural and contain no plastic. These straws are very durable and also come individually wrapped to keep them clean in my pantry. would buy again!

This is a good alternative to plastic straws. The problem we had was that it started to break down in the presence of warm water. They don't feel as harsh, but they don't dissolve as easily as paper straws in cold water (colder drinks in general), which is nice. There is no smell or weird aftertaste.
