Easy to install yet stays in place.

The only thing I don't like about this product is how it matches the specially designed Rak Pak. In order to have enough space to attach puck to it, I had to raise the seat so high I almost can't get on! And I'm 5'11 so I don't look like a shrimp or anything. If the rak was a little longer the pak wouldn't interfere with the seat. I love it though, even though it can literally be a pain in the ass!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Works great even without a bag! Also works with carbon seat post!

Works great on big posts, not great on 25.4mm posts but works. With a 25.4mm seatpost, it will move slightly if you bump into it, but until you bump into it, it stays in place. I was able to solve this problem by cutting an extra piece of rubber from the pipe and adding it to the rubber that came with the kit to make it more solid. Update: 8/28/16 It works great with the carbon seatpost. I have a Cannondale C2 carbon seatpost and had over 20lbs in my pocket and weigh 170lbs sitting in the seat…

What I Needed Best in Racks

I've just started using this rack, so I may have to change this review. But so far I like it. It was easy to mount to a 27.2mm seatpost with the included rubber pad. I provided a metric hex wrench and bought a stainless steel tension washer for the bolt holding it together. I also attached a plastic cup to the post and ran a spring cord between the post and the seat with moderate tension. I'm hoping the cord is useful for holding stuff in the back and carrying a bit more weight there as some of

5 " collapsible bike friendly bike mount

I installed this on my 20" Retrospec Judd folding bike which does not have holes for a standard rear bike rack. I contacted the company and they said I don't have a solution so Revain has an amazing one. This bracket is easy to mount on the seat post. No additional screws are required. It's solid and won't move once properly installed. (Tip: use the included elastic) Only caveat: it's not a quick release, but for what I'll be using it for, which is - Revain packs, small boxes under the…

Ibera PakRak Mini Commuter vs Blackburn SPX-1 Ultimate Seatpost

This is a great seatpost for bikes. I have this and a Blackburn SPX-1 Ultimate seatpost that I hooked up to another bike. I use both racks but prefer the Ibera SPX as the Ibera has several advantages. Firstly, the fixing mechanism is very smart, so the bike can be easily installed and removed with 1 screw. Second, there are attachment points for the Planet Bike Trail Light Bracket on the back so you can attach a flasher to the back. Finally, I love that the Ibera rack has 4 points to attach my…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

  • Definitely bad product

Ideal solution for bikes with independent rear suspension:

I recently bought myself and my wife two Mongoose mountain bikes for city trips. She has the smaller 24 inch model and I have the larger 26 inch model. Since the idea was to be able to use them for commuting, local markets, and general recreation in and around Minneapolis, the idea was always to get a rack to add the bikes. This review is for my wife's bike. I also posted a review of my bike using the larger (but similar) IB-RA1. The problem, however, is that like many mountain bikes, the…
