actually did nothing

max temps on my nvme stay the same even after install (thankfully they didn't go up after install)! Maybe this element will help the NVME not heat up as quickly as it would without it, and maybe it can help the NVME cool down a bit faster than it would otherwise, but that's probably about it. Honestly I'm not sure I would buy this again because I feel like it didn't do anything for my system. A bit disappointed actually - I thought it would at least drop the max temp by a few degrees! :(

Installed in the rear slot of the mobo NCASE M1

Added a second drive on the back of my motherboard with limited space between drive and ncase m1 side panel. Ordered this and a Silverstone M.2 heatsink. The Silverstone would never fit in the gap due to its height, but this one probably only had a few millimeters left - the side panel slides in easily. There is no airflow from the fans on the back of the motherboard, but after adding a heatsink I still see a temperature drop of 10 degrees Celsius (top 30 from top 40). The glue is almost too…

Not as good as I had hoped.

My temperature dropped about 5 degrees while idling and almost 10 degrees under heavy use. Not as much temperature drop as I was hoping, but acceptable. The biggest problem was the heatsink not staying on my Samsung EVO Plus SSD. My guess is that the heat from the SSD softened the glue and the weight of the heatsink was enough to slide the heatsink off the SSD. I used two zip ties to hold the heatsink in place. This heatsink may fit a laptop or PC where the heatsink is flat, but not most…
