If you plan to use this as your primary operating system drive for Windows 8.1 or 10, there are no instructions on how to get it working with your system. I'm sure it will work fine as an additional standalone volume. As soon as you proceed to select the volume to be installed on the hard drive, it will appear in the list but Windows will refuse to use it. diskpart convert gpt did nothing for this, neither the basic disk nor a bunch of other configurations. Nothing helped even after we searched

Not compatible with traditional screws and screw assembly

Suppose you plan to install two 2.5" drives instead of one 3.5" drive. It seems it is! What can go wrong? The build is solid, although the discs feel a little too tight. But after installing the washers, when it's time to install the block into the case, you first notice that only one of the holes on the side collapses. No problem, you think - let's use the holes below. Oh, there's also only one set that fits in regular disc holders. OK. It hurts, but let's just use the two holes on the side…

Excellent small form factor RAID bay for just 2.5 " drives

Installation is simple and straightforward; Select the RAID type on the rear slide switch, install the drive in a powered on PC with a SATA cable, connect two matching 2.5 drives (SSD or HD) and turn on the computer. Disk format and raid is involved. Confirm the disk in Admin Tools Disk Management and you're good to go. All metal really solid construction. It's a good company to do business with and has three of these drives in the works (two on the PC and one on the server.
