Poor fit and quality

Waste of money. The only valuable part of the extension kit are the 8:1/4" x 9-1/2" pan head screws. I had to hand cut them to length as they didn't have cuts to regular sizes. The wall kit extension tunnel is completely wobbly and will not fit. It doesn't fit well enough to prevent moisture ingress. In the end I didn't even use the plastic tunnel as it had no value after all. I framed the opening and wrapped the 2x4 frame in weatherproofing instead.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Faulty

We remodeled our home and put dog access in the back door. When we remodeled, we decided to move dog access to the wall. As the dog access was relatively new (less than 6 months old) we were happy that this adapter would fit a thick wall. The excess broke off easily, the pieces fit together nicely. Anyone who needs instructions can easily find this product on YouTube, there are many videos to help with the process. It is very suitable for pet doors.

This is the door for "fat " or wide dogs.

Hello, my dog has convulsions and has gained a lot of weight from the medication he is taking. The door she used in our old house was fine but not high enough for the patio doors in this house. It was terribly difficult for me to find a door wide enough to fit the outside wall. That is the answer. She didn't need all the height, but she definitely needed the width. Unfortunately I had a terrible time finding someone to install it. Finally found someone and now I'm happy and my 2 dogs are happy.

Tricky wall set to attach

We got a new dog from SPCA and he was bigger than our previous dog so we needed a new dog door. This door is huge and installing it was a pain. We had to get this wall kit because the installation was going through the outside wall of our house to replace an existing (smaller) door that was in the same place. We had a professional handyman help us install it but still had an issue. The plastic panels on the sides continued to give way during installation and did not remain rigid. We were also…

Excellent pet door on doors, gates and ramps

One of the best and most affordable models. I've seen a few that cost $500 to $800 for a door that works pretty much like this one. Installation was a little difficult for me, not because of the door but because my wall studs are 10 inches apart throughout the house. So I had to cut the drywall, cut out the stud and build a 2x4 U frame to bypass the door which would still support the wall stud. I also rewired the wiring because I really wanted the door to be where I wanted it. The template they
