It took a little experimentation. Even after trying it twice and ordering it once, the size didn't fit a bit. I think they are pretty big. The quality is excellent, the service is excellent and the product is attractive overall. Great collars! Looks great! Had to return original purchase as 'large' was too big for a 20" neck. Easy return and ordered Wednesday, perfect fit! Not as tight as the standard color, but the dog we got it for isn't "reactive pulling" (doesn't react to other animals and quickly pulls on the leash). I will update my durability rating after using it for a few months. The collar is well assembled, the ring for the leash is made of metal, the buckle is made of durable plastic.

Please be careful when purchasing this collar. We are currently using the tie while waiting for the fence to be installed and while my dog was wearing it the metal broke and she left our garden. I'm grateful she didn't go too far, but if she were, the collar would be to blame. The edges of the metal are also very sharp after breaking, which in some cases can lead to further injury. Please consider different options, especially if you are wearing a tie.
