Works Well: PE Sheet

Works as expected. I just wish it was a little cheaper, but I think that's what you pay for less processed, unbleached products. I think it's good that soy is used instead of paraffin. Is paraffin basically edible? I used this all the time to soak my hands and feet - phew!

Pros
  • ECO-FRIENDLY - Soywax is clean, safe, non-toxic and biodegradable. It comes from a renewable and sustainable resource grown by American farmers. Since no chlorine is used in bleaching, no chlorine enters our lakes, rivers and streams.
Cons
  • Expensive

No more oil based wax paper for me

I thought I would use a 'healthier' alternative to plastic wrap for storage and microwave cooking when using traditional wax paper until I discovered a few years ago that the 'wax' was made from petroleum. I love the fact that this natural wax paper is made from vegetable wax. I think it's worth the extra cost.

Pros
  • PERFECT FOR COOKING - If You Care wax paper is perfect for food prep, tasteless processing and food packaging to keep food fresh. Use it to separate layers of cookies or cookie dough and pre-cooked meats. It also levels and protects kitchen surfaces and keeps them clean.
Cons
  • flimsy

Great Natural Product

I was skeptical that this would work as well as "normal" wax paper. I actually like it better! It has less wax on it, which is nice when the food (e.g. biscuits) is still a bit warm. I also like the thinner and more flexible nature of this paper; it is less stiff and more machinable than traditional material without sacrificing strength. I will definitely buy this again.

Pros
  • SUPPORTS THE ECONOMY - For our farmers, using soy wax is a new way to economically use surplus soybeans and convert an industrial product based on a non-renewable oil resource into a sustainable agricultural resource.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
