iFi iPhono3 Black Label Phono Preamp

Der iFi iPhono3 is a definite improvement over the Iphono 2. It's very quiet and has a very good soundstage. The device arrived faster than expected (next day) from Mount Rose Music.

Bad Experience: Turntable

, I ordered a phone preamp from iFi on February 11th and it arrived 2 days later. I received only one box, they forgot to send the PSU (one would think the manufacturer knew the PSU was in a separate box). I contacted iFi and they said they would send one. It arrived 10 days later on February 23rd. I connected everything and nothing, there is no sound from my MM cartridge. Then I tried the MC input and it worked. Not good, the device was DOA. I've read other similar reliability issues with the…

Crunchy and crunchy. the best turntables and accessories

I've been looking for a phono stage that could replace my mani that wouldn't cost the earth but still have the performance and options to match the few voice coils I own. The DIP switches are a little fiddly and unintuitive and I would recommend using an ifi calculator to set up cartridge loading as the leaflet that came with it wasn't too helpful. Once you get that figured out, the improvement in sound quality is significant compared to an entry level like Mani. The picture is much more…
