Poor ice retention Good for cooler

First, for pros, the quality is excellent, straps and zipper are good and don't leak. at room temperature, not about the 2 days advertised.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some little things

Nice cooler, shipped and received as described

Looks great but hasn't been exposed to the elements yet. Seams look well welded and easy to repair. I filled it with water, nothing came out, and after that it's easy to wipe it off. It fits my 9ft kayak perfectly, with room for my overnight dry bag, and it's amazing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

No outside pockets: Camp Kitchen

Great backpack cooler. I keep everything super cold. Things get cold when they're warm when put in the fridge with ice packs. There are no outside pockets and if the lid is open and there is nothing in the cooler, it will tip over. So if you think it's not worth spending money on a brand named after a mysterious creature, then this would be the perfect option.

Pros
  • Impressive

Fridge On The Go: Fridges

The Igloo Fridge is a dependable fridge for a day trip, depending on how many things you take with you. We used the cooler at the Outer Banks and often had to repack it with extra drinks during lunch. After beer, water, snacks, sandwiches and ice cream, it fills up pretty quickly. I would recommend a larger cooler if you plan on staying somewhere for the day. The zipper is difficult to open and you have to hold one hand to secure the cooler and the other to open it. Maybe Zipper Lube wouldโ€ฆ

Internal drain for camping and hiking

Have used this fridge a few times and love the design. The straps are strong, the zipper can even be almost overtightened. The size is large and the construction is solid. After the last use we noticed that water got between the inner lining and the foam used to maintain the inner temperature. Inside, the water is bubbling like in a water bed. It can be drained (very slowly) but after being turned over for 2 days the water didn't drain completely. Since the return period is over 30 days, theโ€ฆ

Yes, you will use the back straps on this cooler!

We bought this as a behind seat cooler for car trips. Need something narrow, big enough for wine bottles with rubber stoppers (risk of spills), and less expensive than higher-end competitors. Since we did NOT need a three day ice delay, we thought it was a good compromise. At first I thought NON-REMOVABLE straps would get in the way. BUT. How many times have you had to wait 25 minutes for a messenger or couldn't find a luggage trolley? I used the back straps MUCH more than I thought I wouldโ€ฆ

Can't imagine paying 3x more for new fashion brands

The Igloo brand has been around for as long as I can remember making fridges/freezers etc. I've been to every sporting event, picnic, hike etc .in which I have ever participated. They're not as trendy as the Yeti or RTIC and I think they're starting to show their age, especially in the tech and marketing departments. I was ready to pull the trigger on a $300 Yeti backpack. Found some great deals from RTIC and was willing to buy them for 180. Finally I saw some reviews and videos online for this

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not the best
