Do not buy. The CDI box is done wrong. It leaves your neutral light on, which isn't a big deal, but it doesn't want to keep running once it's set. Plug in OE CDI and work properly

CD size is different from the standard TRX 250x but comes with a new bracket that easily mounts to the factory frame bracket. I put it on and after almost 17 years of inactivity it started!

this solved my problem, I was able to drive my 91 trx250x for about five minutes before changing the cdi. Now my ATV keeps working and driving! Non-original cheap spare parts.

I have a 1987 honda 250x fourtrax with no spark which my uncle gave up almost 5 years ago after confirming the stator and wiring were fine the only thing what a CDI box could have been. I ordered this one and put it in and lo and behold, the spark is back. So I cleaned and refueled it and drove it for several hours with no problems, the engine ran like new. I have no problems with this product.

After testing and verifying that the pickup and stator coils were fine and working on a 5 wire square CDI we confirmed that the Original CDI was either faulty or came from another car. Connected this CDI and ignition coil and ignited immediately when needed. For those that have the "reverse" light on all the time -> cut off the solid gray wire that goes to the CDI. This will turn off the light but can still turn it on when reversing. The OEM CDI used this wire to limit reverse speed.
