Ilford has a reputation for making the best chemicals for film photography. I have never used any other brand as Ilford was recommended by the hobbyist and professional community from the start. I use this fixer with Kodak Plus-X 35mm black and white print film, Fujifilm Neopan 400 professional black and white negative film and Ilford's own Ilford HP5 Plus black and white print film and get great results every time.
