Anytime multiple units failed quickly

I bought this fan remote and it worked shortly after I received it. Got a replacement and shortly after receiving it stopped working. I'm not sure how many I put in, but they all failed after a week or two. Everything is fine with the remote control, but it is inconvenient to work with it. This is the part that turns the fan on and off, which stops working every time. Now Amazon says it won't replace it. Much too long. But it quickly failed, I just gave up on the product and left it disabled…

BUY THE PROTECTION PLAN!

I see this product has received over 4 stars from a large number of previous reviewers so I hope my unit is an anomaly. I bought an iLiving controller to work with an attic fan but the controller failed after less than 2 weeks of use. Now I have to manually plug and unplug the fan until a replacement arrives. Luckily I read some of the low ratings/negative reviews on this product before purchasing and decided to purchase the $7.99 3 Year Protection Plan as well. Now I am in the process of…

Don't worry - horrible product

Update: The company sent me a replacement about a month after I bought it from Revain and assured me it would work fine. See you next season - a month ago. Just stopped working. What a waste of money. I bought this product based on the reviews but the BOY misled me. I installed it outside and it worked for about a week. Then it stopped working - no matter what I did, it didn't work. The company sent me another device and it failed within two weeks. Now they won't refund the $70 I paid for it…

Trash in window vents

I bought this product last year. Upon receipt, I installed the product and it worked for a day. I sent it back and got a replacement. I installed a new one and it worked for a couple of weeks until the cool weather came and it wasn't needed. In March of this year 2020, while preparing our greenhouse for the coming spring, I tested the device - it did not work. The batteries and remote transmitter worked fine, but the receiver, which turns on the fans and monitors the temperature, didn't work…

  • Good product for the price

  • Almost everything is fine

Estimate whether the fan will turn on at a certain temperature.

The fan should turn on automatically at the temperature you set. It's always a guessing game. Does the fan turn on at 76 when set to 78? 80? If I manually turn on the fan, which is common, how long does the fan run before the device turns it off? At 83 or maybe at 79? Your guess is as good as mine. I've read instructions, watched YouTube videos and even sat down to adjust the fan on the control box and watch it turn on and off. This is the worst possible configuration. If you're putting this in

FAILED 2 years in a row

2nd update 4/22/2021: Changing this every year is getting quite frustrating. And again it fails for the second year in a row. If there were other options for this product I would go down a very different route, but since there doesn't seem to be anything else and we need to run the fan it's attached to, I guess we'll have to replace it. Again. Very disappointing. ============================= Updated rating 04/06/2020: Change in rating by one star since launch of this device One year failed…

It does not work! It just doesn't work, great crap!

Have 2 16 inch fans, decided to buy 1 to see how they are doing, died after 3 days of use in dry weather 80 degrees Fahrenheit, 2nd fan I have a manual remote control used to turn it on and off like Before the first one died I liked its function so much that I bought 2 more controllers, 1 to replace the manual and 1 as a backup. Luckily for me I ordered these 2 extras and they arrived literally the same day I sent the 1st back which was refused. So for the past 2 weeks this 2nd pair has been…

Weak and bad quality.

Installation was pretty easy. I already had an outlet and it wasn't difficult to connect the fan I bought. However, I realized very quickly, after a few days, that this was going to be a tricky product. I mounted the remote on the wall about 8 feet from the temperature sensor. It had to go through the roof, but that was all. I constantly found the fan off on a hot day in the middle of the day. I pushed the buttons and woke up the console, and then suddenly the fan came on. I always left the…

Nice feature, but the controls are a bit confusing.

It seems to be a very high quality device. It turns the fan on or off based on temperature or relative humidity, and automatically adjusts the fan speed (high, medium, low). The battery operated remote control displays the temperature at the remote controlled 110V socket (called the loft) or the location of the remote control. Manual control allows the fan to run at any time and at any of the available speeds. There is a slight delay between selecting a speed configuration and the fan accepting
