I've used this several days now lighting up painting areas, painting for about 4 or 5 hours at a time. It works out well because it's small, light weight and very bright. I read in other reviews that it got extremely hot. This one does not. it gets only slightly warm after a couple hours, but not to the point where you can't handle it comfortably. This little light has become my favorite that I use to work on my vehicle in my garage. The brightness is awesome, love the versatile design where I can stick it anywhere to get a good angle. I bought this to provide a light when we setup sound equipment outdoors in the evening or for neighborhood fire pit evenings since there isn’t any convenient power source. I was pleasantly surprised at how bright the light was even at its lower, battery saving setting. I haven’t had a chance to test how long the battery will last as I only needed it for 30-45 minutes at a time, but it seemed to hold its charge well. The light itself is very bright and seems to be made well, but the model they sent me is partly damaged. The function of it shouldn't be affected, but some of the black paint is scraped off in one area, revealing bare metal. Not cool, guys. If you send me a model that looks like this, it should be discounted.

You really cannot beat this light for the money. Although some reviews state the light is not bright enough for their purposes, it is more than bright enough for lighting up my basement which is about the size of standard living room. It appears to be well made, is simple to use, easy to hang or mount, and has worked flawlessly.

(Brighter in person than in the photo) I bought this light for work as a tile setter. I got the cheapest one with the least amount of lumens and it is more than enough! It’s very small so it’s easily portable and it works fantastic! I’ve only had it for a couple weeks so I can’t speak on the lift expectancy but it’s durable and feels well built!

My favorite light. Plenty bright even for working on the car at night. Not so bright that you go blind while using it. LED so no heat issue. Looks rugged, haven’t dropped it yet so can’t say for sure. Very affordable and versatile. I like it so much I really don’t mind the extension cord hassle. Im going to buy another.

Awesome little light. Solid construction with a glass lense. Brightness is perfect for working on a car, not dim but not super bright like one of the big work lights. Power cord is 5 feet long so I've been using an extension cord with it, but the strain relief is removable so it would probably be easy to wire in a longer cord. I bought two lights and I'm very happy with them. The frame is very versatile. Absolutely a great buy.

I have several Powersmith lights in my shop in various sizes. I've been using this little one in my bead blast cabinet for additional lighting. It provides a great deal of light and has survived many hours of intense dust and blast overspray. I simply removed the base and attached it with a flat bolt-on magnet. First off, this is a relatively small light. Having said that it provides a lot of light. It's great for painting, lightweight, doesn't get hot, sets on most any flat surface and can hang from ladders, doors, chairs, etc., etc. The only negative and it's very minor is the cord is a little short and quite stiff. It's a nice light especially for the size.

Its a little odd that it just comes with a 5V Micro USB charger, not really sure how long it takes to charge to full capacity BUT, the upside is, if you loose the charger its easy to replace and you probably already have a few laying around. You'd also then be able to charge it in the car if you needed to. Its a bit smaller than I expected but that's fine, the base is nice and stable and its not annoying to carry around. Thing light gives off a lot of brightness. My garage is pretty dark and this is perfect. I use the hook to hang it off a rack. You can also stand it up and adjust how it faces. I like that it’s small and doesn’t get hot to the touch. I do wish it had a remote option since I hang it and I need a stool to reach the off/on button.

I put this in my chicken coop when it’s too cold to open it up at least they aren’t sitting in the dark all day. It never gets hot so no fire hazard and it’s a white light not the yellow I got from others I tried

This is not a replacement for a 500 Watt work light as some have stated, but it doesn’t claim to be. It’s the equivalent of 75 Watts however all that light is in one direction, so like a 150 watt bulb in intensity of what it is shining on. It also produce very little heat which is why I got it, the 500 watt halogen was too hot to work around in the summer and somewhat overbrite (where I would shine that light up at a ceiling or wall and tended to use the reflected light in my work area. Item was received. I opened the package and, low and behold, one of the stabilizing legs was broken away from the stand. It was not worth my time packing it up and hauling it to UPS, so I went to my shop. Two drilled holes, two "pop-rivets, did the trick. See photo. Assembled the bloody thing and I found out that the two screws that hold the lamp to the bracket cannot be tightened enough to hold the lamp steady. For locking washer did the trick. See photo. Like the adjustable direction bulb, the sturdiness of the base, and the on/off button requiring intentional activation vs accidental switch engagement which runs down many other laterns/flashlights making them useless when needed. Also LED vs halogen for battery life and burn possibility.

This is a great light. I use it to work in the attic and so far it has been reliable and bright.It covers a very wide angle, so i dont need to put it wayyy back when I work on somethingI also like the various ways to prop it. It has legs that swivel and a hook. So this light can be put in almost any surface and it has anti-skid pads. Well designed and well built.
