This is not a replacement for a 500 Watt work light as some have stated, but it doesn’t claim to be. It’s the equivalent of 75 Watts however all that light is in one direction, so like a 150 watt bulb in intensity of what it is shining on. It also produce very little heat which is why I got it, the 500 watt halogen was too hot to work around in the summer and somewhat overbrite (where I would shine that light up at a ceiling or wall and tended to use the reflected light in my work area. Quite honestly I would like to have two of them, one for general area illuminating and the other for the close up work area or just two angles of lighting. . At these prices that is doable. Not one regret or wish it had some other quality.
