I've used this several days now lighting up painting areas, painting for about 4 or 5 hours at a time. It works out well because it's small, light weight and very bright. I read in other reviews that it got extremely hot. This one does not. it gets only slightly warm after a couple hours, but not to the point where you can't handle it comfortably. The cord is a little thick for its current draw, but that's better than undersized which could overheat. Yes if you look straight into it, it will hurt your eyes. That seems like a no brainer criticism to me. To me it's a perfect work light and I'm glad I spent the money to get it and would recommend it as a work light to anyone that needed one.
